L’Oréal has been recognized as one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2025, placing it in the Titans category alongside some of the world’s biggest corporations.

The announcement, made on 8 July 2025, highlights the company’s continued influence and success in the global beauty industry.

According to the official statement, L’Oréal’s inclusion in the prestigious list acknowledges its strong impact, innovation, ambition, and consistent performance. The company was specifically praised for its science-driven approach and its effective strategy in acquiring and expanding global beauty brands.

One of the most notable examples cited by TIME is the rise of CeraVe, a skincare brand that L’Oréal acquired in 2017. Originally focused on the U.S. market, CeraVe has since grown into a global player in the dermocosmetics segment under L’Oréal’s leadership.

The brand has surpassed €2 billion in sales and is now available in multiple countries. TIME also highlighted how CeraVe went from being a dermatologist-recommended brand to becoming a viral hit on social media platforms like TikTok, which reflects L’Oréal’s ability to keep up with fast-changing consumer trends and digital habits.

L’Oréal’s CEO, Nicolas Hieronimus, responded to the recognition by crediting the company’s employees and its long-term focus on innovation. He stated that the inclusion in TIME100 is a sign of the company’s commitment to building brands that resonate with people globally and of its dedication to scientific development.

This recognition from TIME follows other achievements for L’Oréal in 2025. The company was also named the most innovative company in Europe by Fortune magazine, topping a ranking of 300 companies across 21 countries and 16 industries.

L’Oréal, which has been in operation for 115 years, continues to lead the global beauty market. The company’s purpose is to “create the beauty that moves the world,” with a focus on inclusivity, ethics, and sustainability. In 2024, L’Oréal reported global sales of €43.48 billion and employed over 90,000 people worldwide. It currently operates 21 research centers in 13 countries and has more than 4,000 scientists and 8,000 digital professionals dedicated to innovation in beauty and technology.

Despite being over a century old, L’Oréal’s continued presence in lists such as TIME100 reflects its ability to remain relevant through strategic brand management, investment in research, and attention to consumer needs. The company says it is committed to inventing the future of beauty through science and technology, while staying grounded in its responsibility to society and the environment.
