Formula 1 has signed a multi-year partnership with global betting brand Betway, which will serve as the sport’s first Official Betting Operator beginning in the 2026 season.
The partnership will cover several regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Canada and Mexico. It aims to expand fan engagement through regulated sports betting and official race data.
Betway will work together with ALT Sports Data, the official betting data supplier of Formula 1. Through this collaboration, betting platforms will receive real-time race data, predictive analytics and official odds based on Formula 1’s data systems.
During a Formula 1 race weekend, millions of data points are generated from cars, drivers and track activity. This information can support different types of live betting options for eligible fans aged 18 and above.
Fans may be able to place in-play bets during races, including predictions about safety car appearances, pit stop timing, overtakes and other race developments. The use of official data helps ensure accuracy and transparency.
Formula 1 said the partnership is designed to provide a new way for fans to interact with the sport while maintaining responsible and regulated betting standards.
The deal also comes as Formula 1 prepares for the 2026 season, which will introduce new technical regulations focused on innovation, performance and sustainability.
As the sport continues to grow globally, partnerships with digital platforms and data companies are becoming an important part of Formula 1’s commercial strategy and fan engagement efforts.
