Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly-owned unit trust management company under Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) has declared an income distribution of 4.75 sen per unit for its fixed-price fund, Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 (ASM 3), for the financial year ending 30 September 2025.
The announcement represents a total payout of RM896.01 million, benefitting 717,446 unitholders who collectively hold 19.16 billion units in the fund.
The declared rate remains consistent with the previous year, underscoring ASM 3’s ability to deliver steady and resilient returns amid a challenging investment environment.
ASNB said the 4.75 sen distribution reflects ASM 3’s strong performance and continued investor confidence in the fund’s stability. Despite a volatile domestic market and the FBM KLCI’s negative performance year-to-date, ASM 3 managed to outperform its benchmark, the Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit rate of 2.40%, by 235 basis points for the financial year to date up to 24 September 2025.
The fund’s income was derived from realised gains, dividend income, and other sources from both domestic and international investments. ASNB attributed this performance to PNB’s disciplined investment strategy, which balances risk and return through long-term planning and diversified asset allocation.
ASNB noted that ASM 3’s performance was supported by its diversified investment portfolio, including increased exposure to fixed income instruments that provide steady income and lower volatility.
Additionally, strategic allocations to global markets have enhanced portfolio growth, enabling the fund to capture opportunities beyond Malaysian borders.
“The fund’s consistent distribution highlights the resilience of ASNB’s investment approach, even in uncertain market conditions,” the statement said.
ASNB explained that the income distribution is calculated based on the average minimum monthly balance of each investor throughout the financial year. The declared distribution will be automatically reinvested as additional units into unitholders’ accounts on 1 October 2025, compounding long-term growth for investors.
Transactions for ASM 3 were temporarily suspended from 28 to 30 September 2025 to facilitate the income distribution calculation. Unitholders may resume transactions starting 1 October 2025 via:

In conjunction with the announcement, ASNB also highlighted its ongoing “Pandu Impianmu, Generasi Labur”campaign part of the broader Kita Generasi Labur initiative aimed at nurturing financially literate and future-ready Malaysians.
