Apple unveiled Apple Games, a brand-new app designed to give users a dedicated, personalized home for gaming on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The new app brings together users’ games from the App Store and Apple Arcade, making it easier than ever to discover, play, and stay updated on the games they love.
Apple Games offers a seamless way for players to pick up where they left off, track their progress, and see what’s new across all their titles without having to launch each game individually.
With built-in Game Center support, users can compare achievements, see what their friends are playing, and challenge them to beat high scores or join multiplayer sessions, all in one place.

A new feature called “Play Together” introduces score-based challenges that let friends compete in solo or multiplayer games, sparking friendly rivalries and social gameplay even when playing alone. Developers can also leverage this feature to boost engagement and community interaction.
For Apple Arcade subscribers, the app highlights a curated selection of the more than 200 premium titles available on the service, complete with editorial recommendations and upcoming game previews.

Apple also announced Game Center Overlay, launching across iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe.
This feature adds a real-time in-game layer where users can check friend activity, access controls, view achievements, and more without leaving the game.
Currently available to developers in beta, the Apple Games app will enter public beta next month via the Apple Beta Software Program. It is scheduled for full release this fall alongside iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe.
