Uber Technologies has agreed to acquire SpotHero, a leading parking reservation app in North America. The deal will allow users to book parking spaces directly through the Uber app.

SpotHero, founded in 2011, operates in more than 400 cities across the United States and Canada. The platform connects drivers to over 13,000 parking garages, lots, and valet services, helping them find and reserve affordable parking in advance.

After the acquisition, Uber plans to introduce a built-in parking reservation feature powered by SpotHero.

The service will focus on commuters, airports, events, and major venues. Uber also said that Uber One members may receive parking-related benefits in the future.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said the move supports users who choose to drive, making their experience easier within the Uber ecosystem.

SpotHero CEO Mark Lawrence said joining Uber will help bring its parking network to millions more drivers.

Parking operators working with SpotHero will gain access to Uber’s large customer base, as well as its vehicle charging and fleet partners.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions. It is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
