Samsung Electronics has announced its latest portable projector, The Freestyle+, ahead of the CES 2026 technology show in Las Vegas.
The new projector builds on the original Freestyle design but adds smarter artificial intelligence (AI) features, improved brightness and broader entertainment options. It is designed to deliver flexible and viewing experiences for streaming, gaming and other content in different spaces.
At the heart of The Freestyle+ is AI OptiScreen, a suite of AI-powered tools that automatically adjusts picture quality for whatever surface it’s projecting on.
This includes features that auto-correct distortion, adjust focus in real time, match screen size and calibrate based on wall colour or patterns all to make setup easier for users.
The device also includes Vision AI Companion, Samsung’s enhanced AI platform with Bixby integration, helping users interact with content more naturally.
The Freestyle+ supports popular streaming services and Samsung’s Gaming Hub and delivers immersive 360-degree sound that can be paired with compatible Samsung soundbars through Q-Symphony technology.
With its compact, cylindrical form factor, The Freestyle+ is easy to carry between rooms or take on the go. It offers higher brightness than earlier models to improve picture visibility in everyday environments.
Samsung plans a global rollout in the first half of 2026, with the official showcase happening at CES 2026 from January 6-9. Pricing and detailed availability have not yet been announced.
