According to the Samsung press release on 3 April 2025, Samsung Electronics has announced that its smart TVs and monitors now support Netflix content in HDR10+.
With HDR10+ technology, viewers can enjoy richer contrast, deeper colors, and more stunning visuals, making the experience of watching their favorite content more immersive.
According to Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, Taeyong Son, HDR10+ enhances the way people watch content by delivering deeper contrast and brighter colors for a truly cinematic experience.
“We are excited to bring this technology to over 300 million Netflix members and will continue to work with various partners to expand HDR10+ support across our product line and the broader streaming ecosystem,” he added.
HDR10+ is a next-generation high dynamic range (HDR) technology developed by Samsung, designed to optimize the display quality of every scene. It works by dynamically adjusting brightness and contrast levels to ensure that each frame is displayed with high clarity and detail, remaining true to the content creator’s original vision.
Through this combination, viewers can access the expanding collection of HDR10+ content and enjoy a more immersive and realistic viewing experience. Samsung's 2025 Neo QLED, OLED and Lifestyle TV models, together with 2025 and 2024 monitor models, will support HDR10+ video on Netflix.
