PUMA has signed a long-term partnership with German handball club VfL Gummersbach.

Starting from the 2026/27 season, PUMA will become the official outfitter for the club. The agreement covers the Bundesliga team, the handball academy, administrative staff and merchandising.

As part of the partnership, PUMA CEO Arthur Hoeld will join VfL Gummersbach’s Advisory Board. He will provide strategic input and support the club’s development using his business experience and international network .

PUMA said the partnership reflects its focus on handball as a key sport with growth potential. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the sport through collaboration with established teams.

VfL Gummersbach said the partnership will support its plans to expand its reach, attract new audiences and build a stronger community around the club.

The club is considered one of the most successful teams in European handball, while PUMA continues to expand its involvement in global sports partnerships.
