Porsche AG on 12 May has announced key changes to its Executive Board as part of a planned generational transition.
Effective 19 August 2025, Vera Schalwig, 45, will be appointed as the new Executive Board Member for Human Resources and Social Affairs, succeeding Andreas Haffner, 59, who has held the position since 2015.
Schalwig is currently the Head of Human Resources at the Porsche Leipzig plant and brings over two decades of experience in HR and management across various Porsche locations.
On the same date, Joachim Scharnagl, 49, will take over the Procurement division from Barbara Frenkel, 62.
Scharnagl currently leads the Strategy and Procurement Control division at Porsche and has been with the company since 2000.

Starting 1 July 2025, Dr. Michael Steiner, 60, who has served as the Executive Board Member for Research and Development since 2016, will be appointed Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG.
He will step down from his role in Group Development at Volkswagen Group to focus on his new responsibilities.
Porsche AG Executive Board Chairman Oliver Blume said the transition reflects the company’s confidence in its internal leadership.
“We consistently place our trust in internal talent to shape the company’s future,” he said.
These leadership changes are part of Porsche’s long-term strategy to ensure continuity and to bring a new generation into key positions within the organisation.
