PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) has advised highway users to plan their journeys in advance using the MyPLUS-TTA Travel Time Advisory to help ensure smoother traffic flow during the upcoming year-end school holidays, Christmas and New Year 2026 celebrations.
The MyPLUS-TTA digital advisory, accessible through the PLUS app, provides recommended travel times to help users avoid peak congestion when travelling on PLUS-operated highways and the Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2 (LPT2). With recent enhancements, the advisory is now available not only during festive seasons but also on selected peak days.
For the current holiday period, the MyPLUS-TTA advisory will be available from 19 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. The PLUS app can be downloaded via the Google Play Store for Android users and the App Store for iPhone users.
PLUS expects traffic volumes to surge to as high as 2.2 million vehicles per day on peak travel days across its highway network. The busiest days are anticipated to fall on 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27 December 2025, as well as 2 January 2026.
To manage the increase in traffic and facilitate smoother movement, PLUS will activate Smart Lanes at 30 identified traffic hotspots along its highways during this period. The Smart Lane initiative is aimed at easing congestion at critical stretches and improving overall traffic flow.
In addition to the MyPLUS-TTA advisory, highway users can obtain the latest traffic updates through multiple channels, including the PLUS app, the Virtual Assistant PUTRI, social media updates via X accounts @plustrafik and @lpt2trafik, Variable Message Signs (VMS) at selected locations, as well as radio broadcasts.
For emergency assistance, highway users may contact PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 or LPT2Line at 1800-88-0220, both of which operate 24 hours a day.
PLUS also encourages highway users to use navigation tools such as the PLUS app, Waze or Google Maps to better plan their travel itineraries during the festive period.
