NVIDIA has collaborated with Google Cloud to enable large organizations to securely deploy artificial intelligence (AI) models from the Google Gemini series in their own data centers.
The initiative is powered by NVIDIA Blackwell HGX and DGX platforms and NVIDIA Confidential Computing technology to ensure data security.
By deploying the Blackwell platform in a Google Distributed Cloud environment, companies can ensure compliance with data laws and privacy regulations by restricting access to sensitive information such as health data, financial transactions and confidential government documents.
At the same time, Confidential Computing technology provides additional protection for critical code in AI models from any intrusion or data leakage.
Vice President and General Manager of Infrastructure and Solutions at Google Cloud, Sachin Gupta stated that the combination of NVIDIA Blackwell’s high performance and Confidential Computing security features allows to safely and efficiently bring Gemini models to customer premises
“This partnership helps customers innovate without compromising on security or operational ease,” he said.
Confidential Computing technology ensures that data used to train models and user input to the Gemini API remain protected, while ensuring that model owners have full control over access and integrity of their systems.
This development comes as agentic AI is increasingly gaining ground in the business world, with the ability to solve problems dynamically and make decisions on its own. Unlike traditional AI that only acts based on previous information, agentic systems are able to adapt and respond automatically.
For example, in IT support services, traditional AI can only provide troubleshooting guidance, but agentic AI can continuously identify issues, make corrections and manage escalations if necessary.
In the financial sector, agentic AI can not only detect fraud but also take measures such as blocking suspicious transactions and changing security settings in real time.
For organizations bound by strict security or data compliance requirements, they previously could not access AI models like Gemini flexibly. However, now, with the support of NVIDIA Blackwell and Google Cloud technology, enterprises can safely run AI workloads in cloud, hybrid or on-premises environments.
