
MG Motor Malaysia is bringing its latest electric SUV, the MG S5 EV, to Mid Valley Megamall for a special roadshow from 20 to 25 May 2025.
Visitors will be able to explore the vehicle up close, experience test drives, and place early bookings ahead of the model’s official launch.
The MG S5 EV is offered in two variants, COM and LUX, with an estimated starting price of RM115,000. The COM variant comes with two battery options 49kWh and 62kWh providing a driving range of up to 340 km and 430 km.
The LUX variant is fitted with the 62kWh battery as standard, also offering a range of up to 430 km. Both versions deliver 170PS and 250 Nm of torque through a rear-wheel drive setup.
Charging is made convenient with 7kW AC charging available on all models, while the LUX variant supports DC fast charging up to 150kW, allowing 10% to 80% charge in just 26 minutes.
The S5 EV features a spacious interior where it includes practical and modern tech such as a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and MG’s iSMART connectivity system. It also includes a boot space of up to 1,441 litres with the underfloor compartment.
The LUX variant adds extra features like a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-fabric seats, heated steering wheel, wireless phone charger, powered tailgate, and a 360-degree camera system.

Those who book the MG S5 EV at the Mid Valley Megamall roadshow with a RM500 booking fee will receive an exclusive early bird package, which includes a complimentary 7kW home charger and added savings ahead of the official price reveal.
Also on display at the event are other MG models including the MG4, MG5, MG HS, and the MG Cyberster, an all-electric convertible sports car. Bookings made during the event come with additional offers, including rebates, flexible financing options, and free gifts.
The MG roadshow is located at Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall, and runs daily from 10AM to 10PM, from 20 to 25 May.
