Mapletree Investments has partnered with Paris-based Singaporean photographer Melisa Teo to present Two Rivers (Part II), a photography exhibition now showing at Singapore’s largest mall, VivoCity.
This second instalment of the exhibition celebrates 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and France through the power of visual storytelling.
Running from June 4 to July 4, 2025, the exhibition is located along VivoCity’s waterfront Promenade and South-West Boulevard.
It builds upon the success of the first edition, previously held at Anderson Bridge, by adding eight new photographs to the original 60 on display.
The exhibition was officially launched by Mr Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Manpower, Mr Edmund Cheng, Chairman of Mapletree, French Ambassador to Singapore, His Excellency Stephen Marchisio and Melisa Teo herself.
Titled "Two Rivers," the collection captures the soul of two iconic rivers which is the Singapore River and the Seine in Paris.
Each image invites viewers to reflect on the shared humanity found in these flowing waters despite being oceans apart.
Mr Edmund Cheng stated that the exhibition not only presents stunning visuals from Singapore and France, but also shows the commitment in creating the arts more accessible to the community.
For Melisa Teo, the experience has been both personal and professional. “Diplomatically, Mapletree’s support for this initiative has contributed to strengthening the ties between France and Singapore through art and culture, and achieving a significant milestone in the cultural landscape of Singapore,” she said.
As part of the exhibition, Melisa also held an engaging Artist Talk at library@harbourfront on June 4, where she shared her creative journey with an audience of photography lovers and aspiring artists.

Young talents are also being encouraged to join in through the My Two Rivers: Young Artist Competition, held at South-West Boulevard from June 4 to 24. Children aged 7 to 12 will take part by colouring artworks inspired by the exhibition, while teens aged 13 to 16 are invited to submit original creations based on the theme “My Two Rivers,” which explores the importance of rivers in shaping civilization.
Winners could receive up to S$200 in VivoCity eVouchers and even see their works showcased in Paris.
Mapletree’s continued investment in the arts with over S$7 million disbursed since 2010 reflects its belief in the transformative power of creativity.
Two Rivers is part of the vOilah! France-Singapore Festival, jointly supported by the French Embassy, Singapore’s Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, National Arts Council, National Parks Board, and Land Transport Authority.
The exhibition is free and open to the public daily at VivoCity until July 4, 2025, offering an inspiring experience for art lovers, families, and anyone curious about the stories that flow between two rivers and two cultures.
