
Magma Group Berhad has announced changes in the composition of its major shareholders following the distribution of consideration shares resulting from an acquisition approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on 21 March 2025.
Among the individuals who now hold substantial interests in Magma is Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei, who directly holds 26.5 million ordinary shares (1.700%) and indirectly holds 127 million shares (8.146%).
Meanwhile, Mr. Lee Kim Hai also holds an indirect interest of 120 million shares, equivalent to 7.697% of Magma’s issued share capital.

Existing shareholder Dato’ Sri Lee Hock Seng has strengthened his position with a direct holding of 120.8 million shares (7.748%) and an indirect holding of 182 million shares (11.673%), bringing his total interest to approximately 19.421%.
Two corporate entities, Skyload Express Sdn. Bhd. and Empire Solaris Sdn. Bhd., have also emerged as major shareholders. Skyload now directly holds 120 million ordinary shares (7.697%), while Empire Solaris holds the same interest indirectly.
According to Magma Group’s Group Managing Director, Dato’ Sri Thomas Liang Chee Fong, the entry of these new investors aligns with the company’s long-term strategic plan to strengthen its position in the hospitality, property development, and food & beverage (F&B) sectors.
