The world's most popular board game, MONOPOLY, is coming with a special Kuala Lumpur edition, a collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and Winning Moves.
In a statement on March 25, 2025, it stated that the edition is expected to attract the attention of game enthusiasts and tourists by featuring iconic landmarks of the Malaysian capital.
It is expected to be launched at the end of 2025, in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign. The game will feature iconic locations in Kuala Lumpur to introduce the heritage, culture and unique charm of the Malaysian capital to players from various backgrounds.
Director General Tourism Malaysia, YBhg Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, said that this collaboration is an innovative step in introducing Kuala Lumpur to a wider audience.
This initiative is anticipated to boost interest in Kuala Lumpur's diverse urban landscape, vibrant culture, and dynamic community. It also marks a significant step towards achieving the goals of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).
Meanwhile, Winning Moves Partnership Manager, Jennifer Lau, stated that this special edition not only highlights Kuala Lumpur's landmarks, but also celebrates the city's unique identity and energy.
