Restoration of the gas pipeline affected by the 1 April 2025 fire in Putra Heights is currently estimated to be completed by 1 July 2025, depending on investigation outcomes, site progress, and regulatory approvals.

The incident, which impacted surrounding communities, is still under investigation by the Department of Safety & Health, Fire and Rescue Department, and the Royal Malaysian Police.

In the meantime, efforts are being made to stabilise gas supply in affected areas. Additional supply is being redirected from the Trans Thailand Malaysia pipeline to support areas such as Bestari Jaya, Meru, and Kapar. 

The Serdang City Gate has also resumed operations, improving supply access to the Klang Valley.

PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB) has stated that safety and continuity of supply remain a priority while remedial work and investigations continue.
