
Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) has announced a loan repayment deferment of up to six months for customers affected by the recent gas pipeline fire incident in Putra Heights, Puchong.
In a media statement, Bank Islam said the deferment covers Housing Financing, Personal Financing, and Vehicle Financing-i, subject to the bank’s terms and eligibility requirements.
“We at Bank Islam express our heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights.
“May you find strength in facing this unexpected challenge,” the statement said.

The bank also advised affected customers to visit the nearest Bank Islam branch or contact its customer service centre for further assistance.
On April 1, a gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Selangor caused widespread destruction to nearby homes and drew people’s attention.
