Airbus SE has appointed Matthieu Louvot as Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters, effective 1 April 2026, the company said.
Louvot will report to Airbus Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury and will join the group’s Executive Committee.
Louvot, currently Executive Vice-President Strategy at Airbus, will succeed Bruno Even, who has decided to leave the company after eight years in the role to pursue other personal and professional interests.
In a statement, Faury thanked Even for his leadership, saying Airbus Helicopters expanded its product portfolio, transformed its industrial system and moved onto a sustainable and profitable growth path under his tenure.
He added that Louvot’s experience in the helicopter business and familiarity with the division’s operations and strategy would support a smooth transition.
Louvot is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and École Nationale d’Administration. He began his career in the French public sector, including serving as an industry advisor at the French Presidency, before joining Airbus Helicopters in 2010. He has since held several senior management roles, including Executive Vice-President for Customer Support & Services and Executive Vice-President for Programmes.
Airbus said Louvot’s successor as Executive Vice-President Strategy will be announced at a later date.
