AirAsia MOVE, the travel platform previously known as airasia Superapp, has launched a new feature called Easy Cancel, aimed at providing travelers with greater flexibility and peace of mind when making flight bookings.

This new option allows users to cancel their flights for any reason, provided the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time.

With Easy Cancel, travelers can receive a refund of up to 100 percent of their booking value, which includes not just the base fare, but also any extras purchased such as baggage, seat selections, and in-flight meals.

Customers have the option to choose between two coverage levels 80 percent or 100 percent depending on how much refund assurance they want. Refunds will be processed and returned to users within 10 business days.

Need to remember to use the feature, travelers must add Easy Cancel during the initial flight booking process on the AirAsia MOVE app. It is not available for addition after the booking has been confirmed.

The service is designed to offer flexibility without complicated conditions or paperwork, appealing to modern travelers who value stress-free planning and the ability to adapt when plans change.

Easy Cancel is currently not available for flights to South Korea or for domestic flights within Indonesia.

It does not yet apply to AirAsia X long-haul flights under the D7 code, such as routes to Almaty or Sydney, though the company has announced that it will expand the feature to those routes by the end of May 2025.

This launch makes another step in AirAsia MOVE’s commitment to enhancing user experience and offering solutions tailored to today’s travel realities, where flexibility and ease are more important than ever.
